A Rich History & A Bright Future
Located in the central Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, Davie County can trace its roots back to the late 1740s when settlers began migrating west of the Yadkin River. Even then, the area was considered to be centrally located on the main north-to-south and east-to-west routes of travel in North Carolina. Today, our strategic location in a major transportation corridor continues to be a boon for area businesses.
Mocksville is the county seat and Davie’s largest town. Other incorporated towns in the county are Cooleemee and Bermuda Run along with several small townships. Davie County is home to 42,000, with 20,000 of those in the workforce.
A relaxing drive through our rolling hills and scenic vistas quickly demonstrates why Davie County offers the best of both worlds: fine country living and easy access to the cities of Winston-Salem and Charlotte. Established infrastructure, education with state-of-the-art technology, civic clubs, recreational activities, performing arts, and a strong respect for values are just part of the reason our businesses and citizens love calling Davie County home.
